ok heres the short story my d15b7 has blow a head gasket and has 140000 miles on it and needs a major tune up(new clutch, value job, among other things)
I will be attending college in the fall and will be paying my own way, so i still have all summer to work but right now i need to get something worked out so i can have a car again. what im thinkin of doing is a swap and put a b16 into the car i figure i can spend 1600 atleast on the worn out d15 or spend a little more and have a 35000 mile b16 VTEC! so what i want to kno form you guys is where should i go to get my motor? i went ot h motorsonline and saw a complete swap for 2250. but they say that there motors are for race only i need a legal motor so what do i do? and if you could also sum up the basic for a street legal swap that would help cause im really lost on what i can put in there and cant. sry guy i was planning on sellin this car but now and stuck with it and have no way out im lost on what to do todays been horrible! thanks mike

Well they have to put that clause in their products so they can sell them legally. You can put a b16 off of hmotorsonline in your car and be street legal. What year is your car?

its a 95 honda civic hatch will the 92-95 swap be legal? what about jhpusa.com? any good? but im try ot do this all in less then 2 weeks its a daily driver now i have no car so i need a engine fast but legal to!

Yes sir its legal. I have a jdm h22 swap in my car its street legal. Everything is street legal. Well if your gonna do this all within 2 weeks you better just get everything ready before you get the motor.

bump! for more help need help fast so i can order a new motor, also with the b16 will i need ot get new motor mounts for a 95 civic? or can i use the ones i have?

e-check I dont know what that is I live in kentucky if your talking about emissions. Im sure it will if you use everything that is there for emissions like the car normally would. No your stock mounts will not work you have to get any b series mounts. You can get some stock b series mounts and put some poly bushings in place of that factory rubber crap. Or you can but some hasports which will run you around 400 or so there is a sponser on here that is running a sale on them it might be cheaper than 400 but those are the best mounts you can possibly get.
