has anyone know about the mounts that hasport is coming out with for a h22 crx

 

They are not scheduled for release anytime soon.. Only the prototypes exist, and they are in the Hasport CRX..

Alright I feel like im going to feel real retarded..but where is the alternator? I thought it was on the front of the engine on h22's?

 

We relocated it lower so we wouldn't have to carve up the headlamp bucket.

Any info on hood/header clearence at this time? Or do we gotta wait? There's so much i want to know.

 

These were suppose to be out like weeks ago I thought? a friend in Cali spotted it at a track months ago, several hundered dollars i think id make my own, but they look great! good work like usual hasport! SPONSOR ME!!!!!!!!

 

how much less is the clearances between the header/radiator and transmission/body and rear crossmember compared to that of a b series with the hasport mounts?

There is an install article coming out in Sport Compact Car with all the details. It should be out late in July. We had to move some metal to get it to fit. Hopefully the mounts will be ready for sale around the same time. We'll release more details as time grows closer. We may make some minor adjustments to the placement.

We had the car at the NOPI event in Phoenix with slightly different engine placement.

I can't wait to see this kit when it comes out. Man, I would love to have a H22 EF to go along with my H22 EG. It would be a very powerful little car.

 

oh yeah, what is the estimated cost of this mount kit?

is this car auto? and thats tyte about the altinator. did he relocate it or did he just take it out?

And i have a feeling the car is a 5 speed. Just a guess.

An automatic would be difficult to fit.
You can see the top of it, it's there.

It gets wet. Other than that, nothing.

cool. I wasn't sure what would happen if you partially submerged your alternator in water. I guess the answer is: nothing

 

There is a difference between "submerging" and "splashing water" on a alternator. I wouldnt submerg a alternator...

 

the alternator on a d-series crx isn't exactly high up either guys...

 

I wasn't criticizing the setup, just asking an honest question because I didn't know the answer. Most people would be sucking water into their CAI by the time it got up to the alternator anyway I guess.

 

i know, i was just saying that it's no bigger of a risk than stock most likely.
