How big of a deal is it to have the knock sensors? can the car run with out it? or is it one of those must need parts? need help on this.
Almost done just with the swap just a couple of steps before I can fire it up.

 

Yes knock sensor is necessary on a stock ecu with knock sensor inside.

some ecu's do not have knock sensors, but stock ecu's with motors with knock sensors must have it other wise will go into limp mode.

just wire the 1 wire to D3 and be done with it

 

Does the H22 come with the knock sensor? cause I don't see one.
I had my harness converted, And all the plugs are all labled but nothing to plug it in to. Really need help on this.

 

yes it does.

it's located at the back of the engine near the head and has 1 wire coming off of it.

 

I'm using hondata stage 3 with a p28 ecu (no knock sensor) and it runs fine (from what I can tell)
