H22a in Eg help
I have a Prelude with H22a, intake, exhaust, jdm header, and hondata. I am considering swapping it into an eg hatch. I need help with these questions:
What are the cons of this swap?
Do I swap out the stuff like the clutch, clutch master/slave cylinder?
Does the engine and trans bolt right up with a mount kit?
What should I watch out for as far as problems?
Any help, opinions, or advice would be appreciated!

What are the cons of this swap? The gearing
Do I swap out the stuff like the clutch, clutch master/slave cylinder? No, if your EG is already a 5 speed it should have all of this stuff.
Does the engine and trans bolt right up with a mount kit? Depends on the kit really. It's not a 100% bolt in swap though, but it's not really difficult either.
What should I watch out for as far as problems? Spend the money at first instead of wasting time and money. You should go ahead and get stronger axles, HASPORT mounts, and don't cheap out on ****. Oh yeah, may want to replace the clutch while the motor is out
.
Any more questions, let me know

Its a fairly simple swap, I really recommend it for the money and upgrades later is great on this motor. Everything you need is there, you don't need to change your master or slave cylinder. With most used engines you might want to change the clutch go with Competition clutch
We are making good power with the H-series engine in the Avid all motor race car. Check our mount kit if you like, its Billet Aluminum and comes with a lifetime warranty. Also, there is only small one mod with our kit, but other then that is all bolt in. Check us out on the web at http://www.avidracing.com (still be updated but you could get an idea.) Hope this helps

I'm pretty sure he knows all about the gearing. The biggest cons I've found are:
1. the motor hangs really close to the ground.
2. I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but I keep breaking shift cables. maybe i'm just shifting too hard.
I hope you have some experience with swaps, its not that hard, but its far from bolt right it too.
