H22 swap help

Default H22 swap help

I have a 94 civic ex and swapping in a 94 prelude h22a was wondering the difference do I need to use a 92-96 shifter box and cables or am I able to use the 97-01 box and cables

92-96 Shifter metal



97-01 Shifter plastic



Both do the same job as long as you mount them correctly. Mounting holes appear to be different, but that doesn't matter as you will tailor your own. Also it's note worthy to make the final adjustments after the engine is mounted and 100% bolted down. You can also use the Accord shifter as well. Hope this helps you out.

So the cables are the same the only difference is the mounting holes and the one is plastic correct I will be making my own mounting holes that's a given pretty much seen as how the civic isn't a cable shift

I'm going to lean on that they are slightly different lengths. I will say this though, get the cables for the shifter you are using. If you need the cables and the shifter, why not get them together?

I've dealt with both before and I didn't notice any differences. If your patient I've seen them online for under $100.
