h22 idling at 2000?
My h22 at warm up is idiling at 2000, and when it's warm it's about 1500. Any ideas of what it could be? I think possibly the throttle body gasket. Because when I put the motor in a couple of months ago I only changed the intake manifold gasket. Any suggestions of what it could be would be great.
is TPS plugged in and properly set?
mine's doing the exact same thing.
my TPS isn't set, i have NO thermostat, and a vacuum leak someplace.
so let the good times roll

no vacume leaks that I no of (steel braided fuel line is noisy!!), TPS is good, throwing no codes. My guess is throttle body gasket still, I will put in a new one tomorrow hopefully that will solve that problem.
I would clean the IACV with some carb cleaner, also tighten the diaphram in the fast idle valve which is located underneath the TB.
Also make sure there is no air bubbles in the water system, make sure the idle screw on top of the TB is properly adjusted, and check ALL gaskets making sure they seal perfectly.
