okay i just swapped in a h22 into a delsol and it acts like its misfiring and its smoking pretty bad and it smells like fuel, all i did was wire up the motor and i didnt remove any sparkplug wiring so im sure thats in the right order, please any ideas will be GREAT

i forgot to add, the tps sensor is busted but i DONT this this would make the car have a rough idle and smoke and smell like fuel, its obd1 i know the wiring is good i went thru it all 4 times before i put it on the motor, the injector wiring is fine, maybe the injectors are not in the right order? but i checked that also and it looked fine i followed wires from the ecu to the injector itself so they are fine, im stumped?

 

your first issue is to replace that tps. it will cause fuel related issues for sure, thats what it does. it tells the computer where the pedal is in relationship to the throttle body so the ecu know how much fuel to add.
it also needs calibrated when you replace it. pick up a manual or download one to walk you through it.

as far as misfiring goes...i suspect that your flooding one of the cylinders and you are misfiring due to that which is caused by the tps being broken. change your tps, calibrate it and then change your spark plugs or clean them and dry them with rubbing alcohol. then let us know how shes running and we can help you from there.

Yes definitely tps sensor, my last h22 hatch ran and idled like crap wen the tps went bad

 

ok well i changed to tps with a blox tps. the smoking stopped and the idle seems better but when i start it, it idles at 2500 and if i give it gas it will want to die and how do i cal. the sensor?

 

you can go ahead and search on how to set up the tps. theres so much info on HT that you can almost always search for it and find what youre looking for.

okay i got her runing great!, but one small issue. it idles at 1500 rpms and when i give it gas it slowly drops back to 1500. any ideas timing i checked. and maybe a vacuum line? if so give me a few pointers
