Default F22 ECU on H22

Picture an Accord with an H22 swap. Would the car run at all with a F22 ECU? What do you think would happen?

also depending on the type of motor and F22 ecu? many variants will respond differently, but most of them will run the motor .

don't expect performance

Both the ECU and motor are VTEC. So a ECU for aSOHC car with an external coil can be used on a DOHC motor with an internal coil? I won't mess my engine up?

I had to temporarily use the F22 ecu on my H22a Accord while i was waiting for a P13 to be replaced...
My original F22B was a non vtec, running it on the H22A was fine, i wouldnt recommend thrashing your car around until you get a P13 or another ecu that has the correct fuel maps for your DOHC engine... But then again you should be safe as your rev limiter is set at a meezly 6500

I had it in my car for about 3 weeks, after i got the P13 it was a hell of a lot different!

With a F22 your car feels real sluggish, your revs take ages to build up and overall it just feels like all that $$ you spent on the conversion did jack all cause it feels like a SOHC engine

I used my 91 Accord ECU for like 6 months without any problems. Matter of fact the car pulled like a monster and I was whiping Stock LS b-series cars all day. However not having Vtec can leave a withdrawl symptoms..

No problems with idle or sluggishness either..

Did you have to do some wiring since the OBD I H22s are internal coils and the F22s are external coil? How did u get the F22 ECU hooked up?

Just plug in the ECU and go. Assuming your car is already ODB I.
