Default Re: f20b tranny? (KAZZ_786)

b16 and b18c5 are almost identical except for an LSD in the c5 tranny.

b18b is an LS tranny and has "LONGER" gears usually said to be better for a boosted application.

b18c1 (usdm gsr) or b18c (jdm gsr and itr will depend on the tranny code) has Longer 4th and 5th gears than the b16 and b18c5, and sometimes fitted with the optional LSD

which is better you ask....well that is all dependent upon your application....daily driving, boost, racing, curcuit or drag.

If you are putting it in a civic... I think Bense gets the best results with a D-Series tranny.
