Default EF Guys?

I am going to go LS/Vtec Turbo on a 89 Civic DX. I had some questions:

1. B18A or B18B? What is the diffrence or is the difrrence just in OBD-1 and OBD-2?

2. Should i get a first gen (OBD-0) B16 head or a OBD-1 B16 Head? Along with this what headgasket should i use?

3. ECU?....Hondata will work with OBD-1 but not OBD-0 correct? What about the Greddy E-manage?

4. Transmision.......Cable or Hydro clutch?

5. Pistons, Rods, rings......what brand should i use for a Turbo set-up. Also what compression ratio should i be shooting for?

6. Axles.... as well as shift linkage.

Well i guess that is all, this is pretty EF specific stuff, but anyone please chime in and help.

B18a or B18B are all the same except the cams in the 90-91, those are weaker. also a B18a or early b's are high mileage by now but if rebuilding no matter

B16a heads are the same except the OBD1 models have a billet spray bar as opposed to cast on the first gens. better oil flow, but not a big deal
use the the ls headgasket if going ls vtec

hondata P28 is good or any obd1 ecu with hondata is fine, I heard you can use the hondata on obd0 pr3/9wo but one tuner i spoke to says there is a issue with the data logging for tuning , obd1 is better still from my experience

I like the hydro trans. newer and parts more available for rebuild. those cable trans are old now and all beat up

I like using wiseco gsr pistons or wiseco in general, je is fine. rods I use crower but eagle is affordable and work well

axles I like oem . no issues. as for linkage go hasport or mod a 90-93 teg one
