Default Duece Duece Powered Hatch

I am in the process of selling my b16a setup to get a h22a. I just got a pair of slighly used Koni Adjustables. I am problay going to go with a jdm h22a w/ a h23a tranny with the HCP motor mounts. Also I will more then likely get a ACT Clutch and flywheel. I am probaly going to run stock header for now until i find one i like ( DC ) IF anyone has done the swap before and you have some comments or tips.

But, t semms like a great concept though. Sticking a larger, torquier engine into a relatively small light weight car would be great. too bad no one has ever done it before

for pushing the envelope

you should have tried running a search. There are plenty of threads on this swap but this is probably the biggest one. It's a sticky in the Hybrid Forum.

Thanks for the comments. Though I did not ask for the dick head ones... Listen I did not ask how to do it. I just asked who ever has done it to give me some comments. Maybe you missed under stood me. I know a lot of people ask dumb question but i have done my research on the swap. I did read the article on honda-tech which i felt was helpful. The reason why I am running the h23 tranny is becuase 3rd, 4th and 5th are a little bit longer which helps out on the highway. It does make the car faster, my boys Old School 91 Lude w/ a h22 swap was getting beat by our boys m3. With the 23 tranny it made the cars run much closer together.

Thanks man. Like I already said. I have all the research i need. I did read what i wrote in the first post and i did indeed misword what i meant to say. What i was asking is for someone that has already done the swap to please leave some comments.
Just got my h23 tranny "no nobody has ever done this swap" Maybe he meant no one has ever done a H22 w/ 23 tranny swap...

The reason why I am running a h23 tranny is because it has slightly longer gears which are better on the highway. It has the same final drive as most h22a trannies. The tranny will help add a little bit of top end. My friend did it in his 91 H22 lude. Defintly made a difference. As far as LSD you dont need it... LOL J/K! I am going to put a Quaife in it.

Sorry man already sold it. It was a 93 Xsi Motor. I still have parts from it though.

the h23 transmission will not work with the hcp mounts, or any other mounts. The right side transmission mount actually has studs in different places than the H22 tranny. Get the JDM LSD tranny out of a 91-97 JDM 'lude

Are you sure? I am pretty sure they are in the same places. My friend has a 91 lude with custom mounts to fit it in there. He is running a h23a tranny. If they are different then I would assume his Place Racing mount would not work if that was the case. I will look into that matter just to make sure. Thanks for the info though.

Well i know there isnt any difference from the h22 tranny case and the h23. The bolts should be in the same place as the h22 one.

You will actually accelerate slower with the h23 tranny. I suggest the h22 tranny with either a quaife or optional lsd.

Just IMO though. I know nothing of these crazy H22 swaps j/k

with the shorter gears from the h22, youll run much closer.

I understand where you are comming from. But the fact is that the car is faster with the h23 tranny. I wish he ran his car in the qrt becuase i would have real proof instead of people running on the highway.

I have a 92 civic hatch with a h22a engine with a greddy turbo. I would let you that it is lots of work to put it on but it is pssible. you would need to do some welding and lots of cutting or you could built your whole front end and cover it up with a fiberglass front like I did

I am confused on what you mean? Why did you have to fiberglass?
