Does diff. generation blocks matter when rebuilding???

Default Does diff. generation blocks matter when rebuilding???

was wondering if i will be running into problems since my vehicle is obd2 and a local is selling a 1st gen b16 block. i was gonna use this platform for a rebuild and swap out the other b16. will i have issues. emissions is not a prob for me. other than that can anyone guide me thanks.

If emission is not a problem then it's no big deal if you are going to rebuild/build it up anyway. The block are pretty much identical. If your car is obd2 then just switch all the obd2 sensor onto the block and you're set.

appreciate it. just needed to know cause it's obd2 but i'mma end up doin the piggyback obd1 once the rebuild is done. thanks.
