Default D series Distributors

Does any one know if a V-tech D16y8 distributor will work on a non v-tech d16a6?
I know with Bseries you cant use an ls disributur on a gsr or b16

well the big thing is ef dizzys are completely different than eg/k talking electronically wise.

it has to do with the number of teeth on one of the sensor exciter rings. ( cant remember which one it is though.) i dont think it will even bolt up.

(side note it is vtec. leave off the h)
