Default cable trans + cable cluster -> P28?

ok i rarely post a question but i've been searching for 30 min on here, g2ic, and google and have not found a definitive answer yet.

the title pretty much covers it. with cable trans and 92-93 cluster it seems like a no brainer to then run the vss signal to the P28 from the cluster as is stock on the DA.
the question though.. are pulse signals the same?
even checking alldata i see the DA specifies 4 pulses per revolution while the P28 says 4000 per mile. completely useless info by itself.

i am only making a big deal about this now because the engine will be towed 30 miles to the tuner for 1st start and break in on the dyno. i'd really rather not get there and have something i guessed at not work.

(also, i realize the tuning software can turn it off as a vtec check, but i'd rather not if possible)

The speed pulse generated by the cluster mounted speed sensor in the 1990-1992 Integra and the 1988-1991 Civic is identical to the pulse generated by the transmission mounted VSS in the 1994-2001 Integra and the 1992-2000 Civic: 4 pulses per revolution of the sensor.
