B20 swap specifics?
I have a 99 civic DX and want to swap in a B20Z. Unfortunately it's my wifes car and an automatic. Ya...it needs to stay that way...
1. Does the CRV use a TCM like the integra? That would seem like a pain.
2. Being a civic based platform what mounts would I need? Specificly the transmission mounts.
3. Would the exhaust bolt up(with a new cat welded inline)?
I've done lotsa searches but can't seem to find too much related to either B20's or auto tranny swaps(go figure).
Thanks!

In terms of swaping, the B20 is no different than the B18a/b/c. Same mounts and wiring applies.

Get an LS automatic tranny and keep it on the B20. Chances are the B20 will come with a flexplate already on there.
You can either use a AT LS ECU or possibly just your AT DX ECU.
It will be like doing a complete changeover, just the shiftlinkage part of the swap will differ.
I could have errors here, so other poeple can certainly voice their opionion

Understand that you will probabaly not be able to add a VTEC head to this.
Hmm, unless you used a Civic EX automatic ECU...the automatic EX's still had VTEC right?

Ya the ex's had vtec, but I'm not too worried about that since the tranny usually shifts before vtec anyway... I did plan on using the at dx ecu, at least for a while. I just had concerns about that fact that the integra uses a seperate computer for the tranny. But thanks, that helps!
