Re: (kiddcarbuff)
oh and try to get at least a ls manifold because if you use your b20 manifold its to big and the hood wont close it comes up to much.....(happened in my boys 93 bubble}

Re: (danny_ha)
I have an LS manifold for sale, $40 + shipping

I've also done the swap, though not in an EK, which I know is a bit different from an EG or DC. I also used Hondata, so the ECU/tuning issues were nonexistant.

Re: (danny_ha)
My swap was into an EG hatch. Shipping would probably be ~$10-15 for the manifold.

i have done the b20b sway into a 90 rs integra, codename smallblock integra, it was pretty much easy (even tho im a mechanic) but u may need mounts depends on what kinda car u got, if u had a b series in there then they should work, the b18a mounts work good, and u can use any non-vtec computer, but need to be chipped cuz they run a bit lean, hope this helped a bit

Re: (smallblock_integra)
yeah, this helped out a lot. so basically, all i need a non-vtec ecu, shift linkage, motor mounts, and axles and i should be good to go right? i was told i need a harness as well?

a nonvtec b-series harness should do the job, like i said i have a integra 90 rs, so it was a simple swap, 3 hour job, 3 ppl on it workin

this is a common misconception. all you need is the rear upper "T" bracket from the Si. all other mounts are exactly the same down to the part numbers. save yourself some cash and make sure you ask twice or better ten times because a lot of these fools get their 411 from hearsay.

im pretty sure you also need the driver side bracket that bolts where the TB cover is. I'll go and examine both of mine to see if they are different or not. You only need to replace your manifold if its the high giraffe style mani. I purchased a jdm b20b with a p8r head, high manifold but i swapped the mani's with a "low manifold" b20b at the shop.

the b20 is a nice motor, i put b18a cams in it, the stock cams did'nt do to good up to 6000rpm as these other do, but also i had to adjust valve lash, the b18 nonvtec head is the same as the b20's u gonna need some higher compression pistons too, im planin on swappin on a b16 intake manifold for a while then im going with a carb setup, gonna be somehting nice

your going to need an adapter flange for the b16 IM. They dont fit on b20/b18b's. Personally I just grabbed a jdm b20b with a p8r (9.2:1 CR and 33mm valves) Hopefully after fiddling around on crome I can get both tq and hp in the 130 wheel range.

Re: (ek_chris)
the rear bracket is definately needed. Also not sure this is the case for a b20 but I got a 1st gen b16 and to put it in my eg I had to source out a 2 post bracket for the driver side ( not an easy sourcing for a good price ) the ef b16 brackets are offset a little more and have 1 bolt and 1 hole. The 2nd gen are more straight and 2 bolts.

Hope this helps a little. I am looking into a b20/b16 head with lsd tranny. And of course a little boost to even things out.

Good luck with your swap. I am about 2 parts in the mail from finishing mine. But I have 4 driveable cars as well. No down time and no car broke down can't get to work.

I kept both civic driver side and upper tranny mount for my b20z swap ! i used integra rear mount and front tranny mount and the b20 front mount came the engine !

b20z IM will fit in a eg but not the b20b ! i used b20 harness combined with my d15 obd1 plug and harness ! Im currently running with stock p06 ecu and everything run fine but i'm looking the chip it with crome or uberdata !

I ran the 1/4 mile in 14.8 with short ram intake and removed muffler but with stock civic exhaust line !

a b20b will fit with the low manifold. It's the high/giraffe style manifold that won't fit. 14.8 is a pretty good time man. Hopefully ill run 14s with my setup. What tranny were u using?

Re: (teg xsi)
i thought i would need a lot more. everybody so far made it seem like swap would be so convenient. but 14.8 a great time, man. i wasnt even expecting to run a time like that in my car. im jus lookin to get my car to be decent. whos actually done the b20 swap in a ek, though?

Re: (danny_ha)
u can keep all your stock rubber mount for the swap ! The thing you need to check is if you have the timing side bracket and front AC compressor bracket ! They usually come with the engine but it the are not there you'll have to buy them ! + the front tranny bracket from integra or 99-01 SI and the rear bracket from 99-00 SI the integra rear bracket wont fit on a EK !

Other item you'll need are a starter from any b serie manual ! and integra radiator hoses !
