Default B20 head on a B18B?

My friend has a b20 head laying in his house with no use for it, and I thought that I would want to put the head on my ls. Should i put the B20 head on my ls? or should i just build my head?

You can put the b20 head on your ls, but you'd be better off just building your head.

If you're gonna put a different head on your LS, go with a Vtec head. The B20 came out of the CRV, so it's not really meant for high reving. People use the B20 & B18 lower ends because of the torque and the longer stroke. Either stay with the LS head, or throw a B16 head on there.

You would be replacing your head with the same head if you put the B20 on the B18B - They are the same head. If you are looking to pot and polish or whatever, why not use the B20 head for that then you'll have no down time.

Not necessarily. Alot of people out there seem to refer to the 1992-1993 B18A as a B18B. If this is what you actually have, then it would be advantageous to use a B20 head on your 'alleged' B18B (which is actually a B18A!).
