Any tips and or things to watch out for? this is a usdm motor out of a 2001 ITR so it's obd2 PLEASE help me to do this the right way. THANKS for any suggestions

ok here goes, your 92 si is perfect for this swap. the motor will bolt in with absolutely no modifications. you will use your existing si wiring harness and in my opinion i would use your stock p28 ecu and have it reprogrammed. this way you eliminate the need to wire the knock sensor. i would also use the injectors that came with your type-r motor. in order to do this you will need to change the injector plugs on your harness to p73 type-r plugs. you will also need to use a distributor from a 94-95 gsr or del sol dohc. unless you wish to repin the plugs on your harness to the single plug that the type-r distributor will need. other than that it is a very straight forward swap. have fun!!! ( i could have been an *** and said " to search because this topic has been covered before) some peeps on here need to get off there high horse.
