B18b N/A in a eg???
(Did a search didnt find my answer)
Hey Iam trying to decided which way i want to go in my eq...Iam thinking eaither b16a or b18b(I would get a b16 tranny instead of the ls). Eaither way its going to be n/a.
Iam not looking to go too extreme of a build up. The car needs to keep its reliablity(say taking trips of 150 to 200 miles without stopping).
I would like to see high 13's
Which engine would you choose and what kind of a build up would you give the engine to obtain the times I want and to also keep reliablity high.

Well man, Just buy a B18C and you should have little or no reliability issues if the swap is done properly. The B18B, in my opinion, is not as reliable for turboing or N/A as the B18C. You could pull high 13's/ low 14's on a B18C and you could keep it relatively stock and keep your 20 something gas mileage...my .02
Buy a B18b... Its a honda engine... very reliable... strong low end power, if you choose to N/a do a ls/vtec swap.... or if you want to turbo it you can run 12's with right boost and tunning... Im going B18b because its cheap... I dont want to spend 3 grand on 170 horsepower.. when i could spend 1200 on a good sub

Well from the research that i have done... Your better off saving your money and gettin a DOHC vtec, B16 or B18 if you want to go all motor without the ls/vtec swap.... cuz the ls engine is good for turbo but not for N/A in my opinion... Get a B16a2 if you dont want to spend alot.....im sure you will love it
The B18C1 full swap would be your best bet if $ permits. If not, I would go with the B18B with a GSR tranny. You said that it needs to be very reilable for everyday driving and the B16 tranny would be hard on the motor. It will yeild higher RPMS cruising on the highway than a GSR tranny.
