If you drive a B18 Civic and then a H22 Civic, there's a HUGE difference in torque and throttle response. The B18 Civic is still no slouch but unless you go high compression B18 or more displacement, you won't get the same "feel" of the throttle response as you would with a H22. Still, the B18 setup will be a big difference over your stock 1.6L SOHC motor.

i have a b18c1 in a 93 hatch and its pretty quick, but its not a torque monster by any means. its a very fun car to drive and it will hold its own against most cars on the road, but i think i see the boost fairy paying me a visit within the next year or so.

h22 will pull hard. but with h22, its almost custom fit...if u go B series its almost bolt right in. h2 will give you a headachr but ill be worth it

Your still a trial user, after 30 days I believe, you can post everywhere, and IM..

Shaun311 it sounds like you have a decent amount of researching to do before you buy a swap, there is ALOT to learn here on H-T..you'll never run out of reading material..so keep reading, maybe someday you'll be like Poison
