I'm having some serious troubles with my car right now, I just got the JDM B16 (SiR II, OBD1) I converted the motor to OBD2 and deleted all emissions from the car...its a weekend warrior. But I cannot get the starter to even engage, I took it out and tested it at work and its fine. I tested both the power and signal wires and they are getting power I just can't figure out why it won't crank over? Also I was wondering if anybody knew how to wire the 4 wire plug for the alternator...I had to cut the plug off the harness and wire the one from the JDM car...The wires aren't the same and I couldn't get them figure out properly, if somebody could help me out that would be great! I hope to get this thing running in time for the show this weekend...

if you push start your car will it start? if it does then it could be the switch behind the clutch pedal that makes the car start when the clutch is engaged.

 

most likely the ground from the tranny to the chassis is bad. run a wire from a bracket off the starter to the negative battery terminal
