Default B16 surges when cold

I have a b16 in my 91crx. When I start it in the morning it surges at low rpm and cuts off if I dont rev it. Its really a pain in the *** because I cant start it and let it warm up if Im not in the car. I was thinking it might be the Idle control screw that needs adjustment. Anyone who can help please do. Thanx

What do you mean surges? Mine was doing something weird like this this morning. Idle would go to 1.5k then down to 850 back up to 1.5k and back down to 850. Turns out my coolant leak came to revisit me right below the throttle body. Once fixed she ran real good (38 miles) and threw a code 1

hybrids require alot of attention.

Im very interested in the outcome.

Thats exactly my problem. Its only when the engine is cold . But The plunger mechanism that is supposed to open throttle when its below normal idle speed isnt working. I think its because my vacuum lines are all jacked up. Any solutions?

My b16 CRX does this to when cold. 500rpm to 1500 to 500 and so on. Ive checked everything, replaced everything else, no vac leaks no codes, talked to lots of people. Its very annoying to roll up to a stop sign and have your car die. Any feedback would be great.

i guess mine was form the coolant leak. I took off radiator cap, let it run to operating temp, capped it and went for a drive. Problem has not came back. Im still worried about my vaccuum lines also.

I have found my problem. Here is the pic.
http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...MxeTU0MQ%3D%3D

Notice the small black cylinder shaped piece that separates two vacuum lines going from the intake to the diaphragm plunger mechanism. That piece is called a Dashpot check valve. I didnt have one. Its from a 1993 Integra ls motor and only cost me $15. This piece controls the vacuum going to the cold start throttle assist plunger. thats why It wasnt working.
