Default Auto to manual swap?

I think I have found the exact car i am looking for. it is a 2000 civic dx hatch. The only problem is it is an auto. How hard is it to convert an auto to a manual when you are swaping a gsr in? Does anyone know about how much extra it would cost in labor? Thanks for any info.

if u arnt going to do it yourself dont bother. Ive done it on my car its not that hard to do trust me its just costly. but since its a d esries motor you wont have to spend as much as i did on my ls.

What u need:

5speed Flywheel with bolts (not auto bolts)
Linkage
Shifter
Clutch/Psi plate
5 speed throttle cable (cause auto is different trust me)
5 speed ecu
Clutch Fluid resivoir with lines
Slave Cylinder
HCP's auto to 5 speed custom mount

and mostly time. all of this should cost you nder a grand. it cost me about 1k with my gsr tranny costing baout 6 bills.

I did the auto to manual swap on my 00' civic and its really easy if your throwing in a GSR. All the mounts are the same and all you have to really do is make a plate with a hole for the shifter, since the auto's dont have the hole. Then you need to get the 5spd peddals and clutch lines and cylinders. All the mounts are the same as if you were doing a regular swap. Just dont forget to leave the auto lever in park so you will be able to remove your key from the ignition. If you need more info let me know.

all the mounts are not the same. the 5 speed upper tranny mount wont fit into the frame peice that holds the mount which is why the conversion mount is needed

Thats because ferio95 is talking about 92-95 eg and not 96-00 ek. On ek's you don't need any special mounts and thats what BME1986 asked for. If you noticed, on ek's the rubber mount bolts up to the frame while the bracket bolts up to the tranny. Trust me, it will work.

Does anyone know if a special mount is needed when converting an ED chassis from auto to manual?
