auto ls in a (96) NEED HELP

auto ls in a (96) NEED HELP
my buddy is trying to put an ls w/ and auto tranny into his civic and he said that the bracket on the of the tranny is pushing the motor too far to the driver side wall. N E tip or help would be great.
