I am gonna probably be heading out to texas in march I hope, and my problem is that my car is not smoggable right now, I was gonna try and get it all ref'd out and all but I dont think that is gonna work out since I bought alot of stock stuff and nothing has arrived yet and it has already been almost 2 weeks...So on that note, I have to get the car smogged before the 20th of next month. But I am wondering if when I get to texas, I can just change my residence to texas and not have to worry about all the smog crap?

 

Texas tests emissions now too...

You can't (coming from most states..coming from cali might be different since yall are the smog ****'s) register a car in Texas or one from out of the district you live in until it's been emissions tested IN that district.

I bought a car from Houston that was good for another year...I couldn't get the title transfered until I got it tested in Dallas County.

But like I said, it might not matter since you're coming from the smog ****.
