Yes, most B series flywheels are the same. Well at least the ones Ive encountered are the same............ The older ones usually have 9 bolts holding the pressure plate, the new ones have 6.

are you talking weight or general specs.
i know FOR SURE that the 90-91 teg flywheel is the same, fitment wise, as all other b series flywheels...which means its the same, fitment wise, as 89-91 b16a's. Thus all 89+ b series flywheels are interchangable.

i don't believe there was such thing as a b series motor in 88....was there?

As I said before.......the older B series flywheels use 9 pressure plate bolts, the newer ones use only 6.

In terms of weight, Ive weighed them and older or newer, they generally weigh about the same. About 17 lbs. The factory Type R flywheel is roughly 15 lbs.

I weighed these all at the same time, using the same digital scale at UPS to make sure there were no variables that affect the readings.

The Aasco Motorsports flywheel weighs just under 8 lbs without the Pilot Bearing installed. Many of the swaps I do sport this flywheel with NO PROBLEMS and great results.

As stated above, the PRESSURE PLATE BOLT quantity is different. The actual flywheel bolts that attach it to the CRANK is the same.
