Trouble selling
Any of you guys having a HELL of a time selling your S2000's??
2005 Sebring with Red/Black interior - 54k - I'm only asking $16,500.
I feel like that's a great deal for the prospective buyer. 3 months, nothing.
edit: The car is listed on Honda-Tech, Z Forums, Craigslist, Autotrader, and Cars.com

sebring isnt a popular color plus it has high miles for a 4 year old s2000 its not suppose to be a daily. my car is a 2002 n we have the same miles
Anyhow, the average American drives anywhere from 12-15,000 miles per year - I'm right in between that.
I have it priced $1700 below "NADA" value.
This was more of a venting thread. :sigh:
Honestly, it's probably because of the color and the time of year. I guarantee you if it was black or white, at this price it would have sold long ago. I know when I was looking for an AP2 like 6 months ago all the silver ones were going for dirt cheap on craigslist. I however do not have any desire to own this color.

Not too many people wanna buy a convertible in December, too. If you wait until spring or summer, you might have better luck. You might also list it on S2KI.
i got a letter in the mail from honda saying they would pay the full value of my car to have it back weird huh.did you buy your from dealer or private party?you can also try selling it on s2ki.54k asking 16,500 is a good deal in my opinion.
And thanks guys, I need to make a post over on s2ki - just need to remember by login.
To the guy who said they go for 12k all day long, you're outta your mind.
They sent me a letter wanting the wife's cr-v. We never followed up on it though.

full value as in back book price
Here you can pick up newer S2000s with less than 30K on them for around 15-16000 dollars all the time. Especially in the winter. No one buys those car in the winter. On the other hand, that is when I will end up buying mine. Lower prices. :D
Wait til summer dude. You started selling this car at the end of the time that most people would get to enjoy driving it. They won't buy a car that will just have to sit while they make payments for the next couple of months. List it again in early spring, people like those cars then, also wait til the economy is a little better too. People aren't splurging on buying 2 seater sports cars right now when a lot of them don't even know if they will have jobs much longer. Banks are very finicky on what they are loaning now days and to who. So some kid that could have gotten approved to by that car two years ago won't get crap from the bank now. I would list it about a couple hundred bucks below KBB and then let people talk you down a hundred or 2 from there. They will feel like they are getting a deal and you will get a decent price for it.
Also don't listen to them about the color being bad. Silver and white are still the most popular colors for new cars and although most kids don't want silver cars you can bet a lot of older folks like the prestige of a silver car.
Good luck!
