did you get an allignment after lowering your car? i doubt that you went through a set of tires in a month due to your camber wear, its most likely your toe.

what was your camber at? Even if you had -5 and drove a lot, you still couldn't wear the inside down that fast.

Take it to a different alignment shop. The place you went to definitely doesn't know what they are doing.

You're lowered only 2 inches and the toe won't go back to factory specs?!! WTF?

That's not normal, man. Either the shops don't really know what's going on or there's another issue.

Are your tires worn out completely evenly or are they worn out only on one side?

It's not camber wear, btw. It's toe.

If you want to go back to stock height...how bout a stock suspension. Or a CR suspension if you want better handling at the same time.

Has the car ever been crashed or something? I don't understand how toe won't go back to stock if it's only lowered 2''.

i deal with **** like this everyday at work...camber/caster does not wear tires to the extent you say, it causes a pull...toe is what wears tires...but when you lower a car you change the entire dynamics of the suspension, so they may be right about not being able to adjust toe, and if that's the case, i reccomend raising the car up a little

Yeah, tread wear is even all across the tire and the outside inch and a half is normal. I bought the car with the springs on it. I haven't done any suspension mods to the car. Two more questions..... Does the front lower control arm need to be adjusted in or out? Does the rear top need to be adjusted in or out or the toe in or out? The shop that did the allignment said the lower control arms are all the way out.

Please get an alignment. People always make the mistake the camber wear is what what makes your tires live prematurely, which it does have little affect to it, but your TOE is your big concern. Just a thought.

We have no idea. You tell us.

The toe can be adjusted in or out. So it may be too far in or too far out. Do you have an alignment sheet printout?

You haven't told us what year your car is. I don't think you've mentioned whether it's the rear or the front giving you issues either...

AP1s have a 6mm total toe IN spec in the back. 0 toe out front.

AP2s have a (IIRC) 4.5mm total toe IN spec in the back. 0 toe out front.

The factory calls for toe in to stabilize the rear. This will cause adverse tire wear for sure. You can run 0 toe to cure that...but it will be more oversteer prone.

You could ram your car into a curb and get it to go back to stock specs! That's how much adjustment the s2000 has from the factory.

So either you really rammed a curb and bent something very bad, or the alignment shop has NO idea what they are doing.

OR, if your car is older, or has a lot of miles, your control arm bolts might be seized so they cannot be adjusted because they are rusted/seized together. I have seen this on many early s2000 (2000-2002) where they cannot adjust it because it is stuck and seized.

find an alignment shop that you know of that has aligned lowered cars before. explain the situation and tell them if they can't fix it, leave it alone, then go back to where the problem started, either the first shop that attempted the alignment, or your lowering job, but i can't see how it could be the lowering job.

yeah its 2001 with 70000 miles what would it look like if the control arm bolts were siezed or stuck that may be the problem, but one more problem I noticed is that it has eibach ground control springs on it (red) I have not seen them made for an s2k they all are (green) springs on the net is this true because when I jacked it up the springs were all lose or able to be moved, this must not be normal. but like i said i bought the car like this and the previous owner now lives in florida and i can't get any info on what the heck he has done with it.

i dont know about spring colors but if your caris lowered about 2 inches there might be a little play in the spring when you jack it up but not much. make sure that the bottom of the spring is sitting in that notch on the shock when you lower it.

Agreed with the toe as the cause for premature wear. What were your numbers? That will help definatively.
