Default Standalone for S200

I can get a nice e-manage for cheap right now.

Will it control everything adequately? What are other good standalone systems?

Will be running 10 lbs of boost.

You can also get a K pro but that is a little bit of a hassle... unfortunately there isnt alot of options for the S2000 like other Hondas.

The AEM EMS is simple and most any shop will be some one good with tuning it.

The K-pro is nice and you will be able to pass emissions but you need, same goes for the K-pro its easy to tune

Crank wheel 13622-PCX-013
TDC sensor 37510-PZX-003
TDC wheel 14112-PCX-003
Valve cover 12310-PCX-020 <RSX
Drain plug washer (for PCV valve) 94109-14000
PCV valve 17130-PCX-003

The E-manage is more of a wanna be stand alone. Its still a piggy back and wont be safe like a full EMS unit. A lot of shops will call it the e mangle do to the fact its a pain in the *** to tune...

emanage isn't difficult to tune. I've done a few myself pretty easily.

If a shop can't tune an emanage, I wouldn't trust them to tune anything else. A good tuner can tune on anything.

Most people use E-ultimate or AEM FIC or AEM EMS. Don't see many people using E blue on the s2k.

kpro is good for AP2's, otherwise AP1's have to spend a ton on sensors, better off with AEM EMS after that expense.

Is the K-Pro a better choice on Ap2's than AEM?

that's pretty debateable. I'd say the AEM is better, but that's just my opinion.

Why does Hondata state these must be 06+ sensors? Aren't the 04-05 ones the same?

The e-manage for many tuners is a pain in the ****. Not so much that it can't be tuned but the options are limited on what can be tuned. You have only so many slots to plug in fuel and timing in any managment system. Where those are makes a big difference. For Example. My car has a 5 bar map sensor. Well that sensor kinda screws the car out of any drivability because you only have about three spaces to tune that area. In boost there is mass area to tune. Now if I want more street tune and use less boost then a 3bar would be ideal. Which is most likely where I am going to get down too anyway.

So in turn a stand alone is much better if you need the tuning capabilities. I use the AEM as do many more people than most anything else on teh S2000 line-up at the moment. You can use a device by modifry that gets the stock temp gauge to work and away you go. No issues and just about anyone anywhere has tuning software.
