Hello all-
I don't own a Honda as yet but will be retiring soon as am considering a S2000 because of it's reliability and coolness.
I need to go to a car dealership first though just to see if i can fit into it. I am 6'3"/180 lbs. and I have read a lot of online
articles saying that taller guys cannot fit into a S2000. I will be trying one out shortly. Can anyone please tell me of the
attached photo, what those two bubble like things are behind the seats that are painted the same color as the car?
Is that removable or permanent? Also is this a specific model year? What are those raised bubbles behind the seats?
the S2000 you have pictured is the CR model. It came with a hardtop and paint matched tonneau cover, the part circled. im sure it can be removed. but if you buy any other model S2000, itll come with a soft top and no tonneau cover. You can find a factory leather cover (installed when the top is down to cover it), or the plastic painted one (for a lot). Im 6 feet and 180lbs, and fit fine. but i can see how anyone taller than me wouldnt fit.
10 + years of ownership, i still love my S2000 and drive it here and there.
I ordered one of those covers YEARS ago, however it was cracked when it arrived so I never put it on or had it painted. I think I gave it away to someone who would put the effort into getting it corrected.
