Should fit but you might want a little more offset. Also, the stock s2000 wheels are staggered so you may prefer a staggered set.

You may catch hell from other members for this post btw. Just a warning

The s2000 basically has FWD offsets lol. The rears would be more sucked in than the fronts. with that rim width i would go for like +45 in the front and maybe +50 in rear... tires Not sure exactly what would be best but you can look around on s2ki.com where there is a lot of valuable info and a search engine that actually works. Honestly i would go with at least an 8 inch wheel on the rear.

BTW, congrats on the purchase.

offset doesn't pertain to the layout of the car at all, but rather to the wheel fitment in terms of backspacing from the mating surface of the wheel.

as far as the wheels you picked out, they'll fit with little to no adjustment but i think you should reconsider the styling. The S2000 is by no means an exclusive car or anything in that nature but it does have a certain style/line to it and can only pull off certain looks. A neo-chrome lip with gloss black faces doesn't compliment the car at all even if you had a black car.

The reason why the s2000 has staggered wheels from the factory is because of its natural tendency to be back happy. The wider wheel/tire combo for the back will tend to help increase traction in the rear.

It is not needed, however, to have a staggered set of wheels as many members have non-staggered fitments with no complaints or issues.

im a little confused, stock offset is +55 and +65 and the mating surface looks to be pretty far out, the wheels i posted are +40, and you said go with +45 and +50, wouldn't the +40 wheels be sticking out more than stock cuz the mating surface is more towards the center of the wheel? sorry im just getting confused and i want to understand

OP, as for the set you mentioned in the first post:

No. 7.5 inch is way too small.
They look like the g35 sport wheels

Offsets also have a lot to do with wheel width as well. You cant compare a +40 on a 7.5 inch wheel as opposed to a +40 on a 9.5 inch wheel. It would be a completely different fit

Because a +40 offset on a 7.5" wheel would be the rough equivalent to a +52.7 on a 8.5" wheel in terms of fitment towards the outter edge. The inner edge would get 12.7mm more wheel too. (25.4mm ~ 1inch IIRC)

Actually the first set of rims that you posted would not be sucked in in the back, they would stick out by an extra 12mm compared to your OEM wheels. They still would clear easily with a little fender roll. If you did this you would only need to run minimal chamber, say the same as UK spec alignment of -2.0 for the rear. The fronts in that width and offset will be a problem, they stick out an axtra 21mm. You would need fender rolling and pulling/flare on top of chamber. The tire size that you would be able to run though wouldn't be very wide since the rim is too narrow for the rear. You are essentially putting front rims on all four corners.

The second set you posted up will stick out an extra 17mm in the rear. You will again need a roll for sure and bumper tab relocation. Also even with -3 to -4 chamber you may find it still rubs with the stock tire width of 245. This all depends on the actual tire since I have see the same width tire from different companies fit differently on the same rim. One looked stretched and one the sidewall was perfect straight up and down. these are not ideal for the rear but can be done. For the front rim you won't have problems with it even though it will stick out an extra 7mm, a minor roll and you shouldn't hit. I have 7.5 +50 for my fronts and only rubbed under hard cornering.

This info assumes you will be lowering your car in the future, if you don't ever want to lower you car then you don't need to roll any of your fenders and just run the wheel

i suggest u spend a couple weeks to a month researching this b4 u pull the trigger on some gay *** wheels and ruin the car. look at pic and wheel specs to get an idea how the car sits on a certain width and offsest also tire size plays a role in wheel fitment. and just a fyi u might want to drop the car imo if a car has a set of nice wheels and isnt lower than stock it looks a little silly

I have Volk ce28n in time attack color for sale.

17 x 7.5 front
17 x 9.0 rear
S2000 friendly offsets

Let me know if you interested... One of the front wheels has some rash bit an easy fix. No dent or bend... Rear tires new fronts have life but not brand new...

^^The guy is posting up that he wants to buy cheapo $300 wheels, and you throw him to wolves by offering an expensive set of Ces.

Im going out on a limb here but I believe he wont be interested in buying a $2000 set of wheels

Brand? Specs? I'm worried that this will end up in a ruined (aesthetically) S2k

im glad you automatically assume things, and why would i care what anyone thinks besides myself? This thread was to learn more about offset's not hear everyones opinion about what style wheel they like. As long as i like em nothing else really matters and i know the wheels i picked will fit because i called the company that makes them and they are specifically for an s2k and i had the tires sized exactly what their recomendations were for my car
