New or used
Originally I've been searching for a used 06-07 LBP or GPW low mileage s2k, but all the ones I've seen "carfax" checked seemed to have flaws, ie. rear bumper misaligned, or paint chipping on the edges, door window trimming torn and other imperfections.
Dropped by a honda stealership a few days ago and they were offering a brande new silver 08 with few test drive miles for 30,900 and worked out the monthly payments to 515 x 72 months and $2k down. This is supposed to include all taxes and licensing fees.
Does this sound about right???

Shop for the total price, not the monthly payment. Go at the end of the month. Use the buddy system and bring in photocopies of other s2000's you are looking at, whether they are real or not is up to you. You should get some better quotes then.

Are you set on having the drive by wire, traction control, and head rest speakers? Is that why you are only looking at the 06+? I almost always recommend buying used over new but that's me. I'm not sure what you want to spend, but much better deals can be found for sure. There are many nice S2000's with low millage you can pic up for under 23,000.
