im just curious the average age of the s2k owners here on honda-tech i see alot of people getting hounded for being young and owning them! post em up

I agree that there are some young kids who do nothing to get what they have, but there are few young ppl out there that DO work for EVERYTHING they own. It was all H-A.net then before the owners got into a fight and split to make H-T. So the average age of an S2K owner is 20yrs old now? Most of you are not even college graduates! How can you afford a $30K car? You could have bought it used but still.. I 'm surprised that so many younger people own them because what I see at the auto-x events are ~27-45yr olds. Nothing wrong with that as long as you make the payments. I would probably co-sign for my son in a few years when he 's of driving age. I think it's just that in general younger people these days are more spoiled than we were 15-20yrs ago. My parents told me to go work and buy my own car even though they could afford to buy me a brand new Vette back then or any other car I wanted. Same thing with my friends and their parents. I saved up patiently bussing tables in the summers and when I was 18 I got a used '71 Nova 350SS (a hot rod) from an older friend, for $1K cash. That was a lot of $$ in '84 cause you could get used cars in good condition ('75-80 models) for $400-700 with <60K mi. I always got my own loans or paid for my cars. My parents wouldn't even co-sign for my first new car 4 yrs later. I had to pay a higher interest rate because they didn't have any credit for them to check except for a new credit card I only had for 2mos. I ended up paying almost 50% more of the car price at 16.9% interest.. |
