At 7.5k it will go solid... This is a reminder to get your 7.5k maintenance done (IE: oil change), that is all. It will NOT tell you when to do a valve adjustment and per your other post, your DO NOT need to get your valves adjusted every 15k!
To reset the light:
- Have key inserted in ignition but in the OFF or LOCKED position.
- Push and hold the trip reset button on the right bottom corner of your gauge cluster.
- Turn key to full ON position and continue holding the button till the light goes off.
If the light is only at the "blinking" stage...
-KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTON FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO BE SURE OF A POSITIVE RESET. Or just be patient and wait till the light is on all the time before doing this.
**Some manuals may be a bit off in that they do not tell you to turn the key to the ON position. The 07-08's are smarter and tell you to change your oil based on actually motor use... There a bit different to reset as well. </TD></TR></TABLE>
