Default Help real quick plz.

ok guys, can someone explain to me why the RE050's dont have that bubble look from the side as oppose to other tires?

I have been looking for these stupid tires for 4 months now to put on my wheels but apparently no one is selling em. Is it the make/the tire or what?

If it is b/c of the tire size 245/40 or what? plz help me out so i can buy the tires already.

i dont like that bubble look.

copy what you just wrote, paste it to your email provider, and send it to tire rack ....

that way you get "quick fast" accurate respond... unless, you wanna wait for some noob to give you input on what he hears "he said, she said"

Because it's narrow. When I put 255s on they "bubble".

depends on the middle number. should be a 45, so the height from the top of tread to rim is still the same.

i think u want the stretched tire look. if u like that, jus get i would say 2 sizes down from what u shoudl have, or what makes the tire look strait up ex. if normally i use 235, i would use stretched tires of 205 or the BUbble look

It would be 255/40; I haven't seen that size in 45 sidewall-profile.

i think he wants the stretched tire look. stretching ur tires make it give the "bubble look" so if ur rim tire size is normally 255, use a 235 to look "bubble" or stretched. people sometimes go down more than 3 sizes, but to be safe, i would do only 2 sizes.

I dont like the tire that looskl ike a bubble from the sides. for example, the Azenies look that way but the re050's dont. the profile is just loads thinner appearance wise. its like thin as opposed to a bubble look. thats what i like.

Let me get this straight.

Thin = stretched = narrow tire, wide wheel.

Bubble = round convex sidewalls = wide tire narrow wheel.

Correct?

I run 225/255 on the OEM wheels, that would give me the slight "bubble" look, especially on A048s or RT615s. Personally it wasn't the look that affected my decision, but function in forms of a bigger contact patch, and extra "squish" to protect the edge of the wheel from my frequent candy-stripe hops with heavy side-loads.

BRO, i really dont care to hear this Honda - Tech fucntio over look whatevre slogan thats been around for the past 23424 yrs. I dont care waht you think my intentions are of the tires. Obviously I put the performance into consideration or else I wouldnt make RE050's on the list along with that look. They are pretty damn good tires. You know, its possible to narrow my search down by having the look and performance of em come into thought and choose the best one that satisfies both needs.

It isnt a hobby for me anymore as I dont plan on keeping this car for much longer. You don't care to help answer my question, DON'T POST. I haven't been around H-T for a while b/c of that and apparently it's still around and now to those that actually are helping, thanks i appreciate it greatly.

Sorry, but you kinda lost me there.

Did you say you have that slight bubble look due to the 225/255 tires? so if it were a 215/245 you wouldn't have that bubble look?

My friend told me the lower the profile you go, it will prevent that look from appearing. I have seen tires tho taht run the exact same setup but have taht tire look as oppose to the RE050s. So thats why I'm not sure if its teh tire itself or its the specs of it.

Profile ( the 40 in 255/40/17) is your sidewall height. I do not recommend changing the sidewall profile on your tires.

The look varies between different brands of tires, due to slight differences in width, sidewall height/design/stiffness, and rolling diameter.

thanks dude. I dont understand why a 255 would have a bubble as opposed to 245. isn't 255 wider so the sidewall would be less of a bubble? thats what I figured since its the same at 40 or 45.

Sidewall designs are different as well. The Azenis and the Advans, even though they're the same size, look different due to sidewall design. I was just giving you examples. Width does affect the "bubble".

i can see you have no idea WTF you are talking about if you are worried about the "LOOK" of your ******* sidewall.....
now as stated OVER AND OVER AGAIN each tire will VARY because of design.

the 050 dont have that "bubble" because they have a stiffer sidewall compared to those of the same size tire on the same rim which might have a bubble or not....

ive had RE050 so i think i know what im talking about.....
