Default green key flash

picked up a "project car" anyhow, when tested with starter fluid. it started up find then dies. before that he did mention theres no gas left. theres no cat so it was loud couldnt tell if the engine was smooth. i end up buying it still. today i added gas and battery. cranks up and you can hear the exhaust but dies right away. from what i've googled. it could be the main relax (couldn't find it) anyone got the location? it also could be the immobilizer since the green key does flashes after i removed it but doesn't show when key is in..is that normal?

It's not the immobilizer if it cranks. The flashing green key you are describing sounds normal. When is the last time this car ran? Where did you spray the starting fluid when you started the car originally? Does it run for any longer, shorter or the same as when you were able to get it started with the help of the fluid?

I would hope you have already changed the oil before trying to start it if it has sat for a long time?

It's just like strong carb cleaner, just think of it as spray gas.

started the car at the old owners place. we only tried it once and it was loud cause there was no cat. stayed on about 2 sec. he also said theres no gas. well, today i removed the main relay and just ordered one on ebay. hopefully this is the fix.
