Well the springs in the rear are going to drop the rear 1.5 inches, and the front 1.3... They prob just need to settle

I put in rsr springs and had the same problem. Them I put in my eibachs, problem solved and it rode 837573484758348 times better. Next I'm putting in ground control because I cant spend $1k on suspension yet...

alot of people who install springs on the s2k forget to preload the suspension before they tighten all the bolt. If they forgot this the front upper control arms are binding so thats why the fronts sit higher than the rears. I had the same issue like you on the same springs. I just raised the car, loosened all the bolts, preloaded the suspension and retighten them. Solved the problem, the car sits even now.

forgive me but how do you preload the suspension? By compressing the spring??

loosten the upper contrl arm bolts and jack up the suspension to compress everything and then re-tighten them

yea jack each side of the suspension on the lower ball joint. Its on the bottom part of the suspension behind the rotor. make sure all the bolts are loose before you do it.

Re: (rusted_nailz)

from what i understand, you do not need to preload springs...only coilovers. that actually might be the problem; that they are preloaded.

i believe you springs are backwards... but i'm not 100% certain.

rusted_nailz 04-02-2007 01:14 PM

the spring is not the issue, the issue is that when installing springs on a s2k requires you to undo the front upper control arms. The arms have bushings, if you tighten all the bolts before preloading the bushings will bind and not allow the suspension to travel correctly. That is why his car is sitting uneven... I know this first hand because I had the same problem...
