AP1 or AP2 for turbo setup???
I currently drive a 440whp 93 S13 nissan with a SR20 and I'm looking hard at the S2000 for my next track platform. I will be autocross, drifting, and drag racing since this is basically my toy. My question is would you do the AP1 or AP2 platform for what I'm looking at. I will want the 04-05 AP2 because I don't want drive by wire throttle. I will be doing a custom turbo setup with a BW S259 or S360 or something along those lines. Any insight into the honda world would be greatly appreciated.
Id say go with an AP2 myself, more displacement = faster spool. This is really going back to my prelude setup, but it should be the same principle.

I prefer the AP1. The AP1 cams are bigger then the AP2's and seem to make better power when doing a fully built motor.
Depending on the turbo you use will depend on the power plus the internals of your block.

What would you consider the limits of the stock internals on the F20's. I'm new to the honda world but 400whp is about the limit of my SR20. But it is a factory turbo car. What got me intrested in the S2000 was an article I read in Modified Mag were a AP2 with a AFI turbo kit with a TS GT30R made 412whp at 12psi!!! That blew me away. I've also seen a AP1 make 620whp with a BW S372 at 23psi on stock internals(don't know how long that would last)???
ap1 with one of these http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...e/100_0625.jpg
will get you 400+whp on stock block. a lot of people have had great success daily driving over 400whp (me included) no hiccups or problems so far as long as precautions are taken. which reminds me im due for an oil change tomorrow!

I don't know the limits of the stock internals. There is a s2000 with 701whp with stock internals that T1 built. Me personally I have a completely built motor all CFT specs from crank to rods, pistons and sleeved block. We are shooting for minimum of 700+whp but with the help of Red Star Motoring out of Puerto Rico we are trying for 800+. They have their s2000 at 780whp.
