I get 26-30 all the time all week long ever week and still have a fun time with the car. Sounds like people drive the **** out of theirs. I even have the receipts to prove it.

 

Well i got the car, guess when i get it on the road next week i will find out

 

i'm averaging 25-28 mpg daily.

never owned one and dont know one thing about them but i figured its a overweight miata so its simple right?

I drive conservatively, and for some damn reason I am only on an average of 215-230 miles per tank, maybe I need to look into swapping out the plugs at 65k miles, even though they say platinum last 100k miles. Bunch of B.S.

the key to gppd mpg and performance is
*key shift points
*utilizing your gears
*unnesscessary acceleration


i would average 280-310 mixed driving and that was seeing 9K on a regular...
with exhaust, testpipe and intake.
on unchanged OEM plugs

Federal 595 all the way

the datsun is kool, just got my front brake set up in from aerospace components i will be converting the front to coilovers within the week.

 

No way an S2000 owner should expect anything over 19 mpg while doing a majority of street driving. I can understand highway driving, but not driving on the street.

 

01' AP1 &gt; 23mpg average (93 oct, Florida)

so you're saying you shouldnt be able to get anything better than 19mpg in the city? how the hell is that possible? i get better mileage in the city then regular highway driving (75-80mph)

 

i think the older you get, the better gas mileage you get.

when i got the car at 17 i was prob getting like 15 mpg....i drove the strait ***** off that car. now im 19 and i of calmed down...prob get around 23 mpg.

I am more concerned about putting miles on the car then what my gas mileage is. A beater car solves both though

stop showing your ignorance. speed limit has little to do with mpg's. I could be doing 100mph, but if I accelerate gingerly, I'm likely going to do decent on mpg's vs. the clown that redlines and full throttle in every gear to 70mph.

Acceleration has more to do with mpg's, ESPECIALLY in the city, than cruising speed.
