I did a lot of searches but couldn't find what i was looking for. I have a friend that is working on buying a prelude from a guy that just got an 03 accord. the guy says it's a 98 but its a 4th gen body with an h22 vtec in it. I was just wondering about the year, I thought that 98 was a 5th gen or is it both? Also he is buying it for 2500 Dollars. Good price? I would say so but then again if he doesn't know the year of his car...Who knows?
4th gens are 92-96, vtec being offered in 93-96 models. look at the vin it will tell the year it was made but i'm not sure which ones. a search should help you figure that out.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by biglew »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Yes 98 is a 5th gen model maybe the guy just doens't know what the hell he's talking about. $2500 seems like a very good deal, but that depends on what is wrong with it.</TD></TR></TABLE>thats what I was thinking also. and actually my friend said that he might have said 96 but he thought that he said 98. I would have him look at the vin # but the guy lives in NM and We live in KS. The motor wasn't stock in the car. the kids grandparents left him a buttload of money and his stock lude couldn't beat his friends Civic so he had the H22 put in and also other performance parts buuuttttt..... You answered my question so thanks for the help.
