1996 I believe. All the US 4th Gens. with H22's were OBDII. Although the JDM 4th Gens. were all H22 starting in 1992.

Can anyone back me up?

USDM = 1993, in colors red, black, and the greenish color, only in manual trans.

In the JDM there were other engine options for the prelude S's and Si's like the F22B (similar to H23).

Off topic-There was a V6 option (whatever V6 is in the CD5 Accords) in Australia but they were rare and it was auto only.

Almost certain thats not true man. I live in Aus and I've never seen or heard of them. They're not registered anywhere in redbook.com nor have any car sale sites heard of them

Still looking... If I'm not mistaken, they put the V6's in some of the 4th Gens. convertibles.

Please spare me your sarcasm...

I don't know the numbers on the V6 model but there were 250 convertible 4th Gen's from the Honda factory as well as 100 convertible 2nd Gens from the Honda factory.

Edit: Correction-My mistake. They didn't come from the Honda factory but they were sold that way from the dealership.

Are you sure there were that many? from my understanding there were maybe 16 or so convertable 4th gens made by some company in Germany. I'll see if i can find the link.

There were 15 from the company you're thinking of. But they were way aftermarket. You had to take your car there after you bought it from the factory. There were others though... from the dealership. There's just not a lot of info on them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Prelude

^Has this paragraph in it:

"Of the fourth generation Preludes, only some 15 were modified into a convertible by German company Honda-Autohaus Manfred Ernst. No details are known about the engine types and other specifics. Since only 15 were ever made, they are assumed by many to be custom-built."
