Default what next..??!?

hey..i have a 2000 honda prelude not type sh..and..i installed aem cold air intake..a magnaflow exhaust..and im thinking of installing headers next..im wondering if i should or shoudln't install the headers..or instead get a carbon fiber hood. Do you guys ahve any suggestions?..the reason why im heading towards dc headers is becasue of the hp increase..And my other question would be..if i install headers..would it give my engine a louder noticable noise?

don't jump on the bandwagon and stress DC sucks, they may not be the best header on the market but they do not suck *****.

they just had a header test, check it out for yourself, the dc header is significantly lighter than its stock counterpart

4.SMSP 174.3 hp ( as described earlier, sniffer in collector)

Sorry, very true...

I didn't mean it that way, but out of the other headers out there, they arent the best. But then again, for the price, they are good.
SMSP and Mugen=Big $$$

yea man, if you see some DC headers that you like and they're in your price range, get 'em. you'll see a little gain over stock, don't not buy them because other people who might not even have headers at all bash DC. there are other brands though, it all depends on how much power you want to make and how much your willing to spend.

first it is a header single....you dont have two on your car

and dc isnt not as bad as everyone says.
the dc that was used in that test that was quoted earlier was mine and is for sale by the way
it is for an SH though
but if you can get a used DC header and modify the collector you could probably see even more power gains
get yourself a slightly bigger diameter flex pipe and have a exhaust shop cut the collector off the DC and swap the flex pipe and add on another length of larger diamter piping with a new flange welded on and get yourself a high flow cat of equal diameter (such as 2.25) .... well anyway thats alittle bit of work, and maybe more than your willing to do for a few HP

back to the point, for the money DC has gains
it doesnt match the mugen or SMSP but its less than half the price

also that quote about the power numbers put down .....
the first SMSP number up there is with full exhaust and test pipe, all teh rest of the numbers are with open header so teh first SMSP numbers cant be compaired with the rest as the rest did not have an exhaust bolted to them

explanation: when i said headerS, i meant as if he was looking at more than one, as if comparing prices between two different sellers, not as if he was going to install two.

its funny how people are defending dc headers now...if you modify the collector youll notice even more considerable gains...my two cents

thats what i was thinking about too, i heard that the real problem with the DC's are the collectors, if you modify the collector, then youll be ok, but then again, i have heard 20 diff. opinions about the DC header and any other header for preludes in general, and i dont have one, so i dont know
