Default What header is this?

I recieved this from a honda-tech member (it's the one on the bottom, being compared for length to the DC h23 header and the stock h23 header). It was advertised as an obd1 jdm h22 header. Why is it so short? It's missing the flex pipe section which makes it about 18 inches too short. The header that came with my swap looked different; it did not have a donut thing installed before the flex pipe (which was cut off). What kinda header is this? I held up the h22 gasket and it lines up perfectly. I'm thinking that this may be an obd2 header or something.

It is definitely an OBD1 header, because all OBD1 style headers use donut joints instead of flex joints. It is just missing a piece actually, that is why it is too short. There should be one more piece (a C-pipe) that has another donut flange on one end and the cat flange on the other. My Fujitsubo header for the 4th gen is like this. The C-pipe is just a straight piece of tubing; you could fabricate one if you wanted.

I have owned 2 4th gen 1993 Preludes (both OBD-1) and neither of them had a donut style header coupling. Looks stock to me and like somebody just hacked off the flexpipe and put a donut coupler on the end of the pipe.

the only headers ive seen that use donuts are b series, they use those spring bolts instead of flexpipes, all H series headers have a flex pipe...its either a b series header, or a hacked up hone if you say the upper part fits, i dont think a bseries header will line up on an hseries, but im sire no one has ever looked, maybe they do line up on the head..lmao

WRONG, on obd2 cars, there is an o2 sensor before the cat (in the header) and one after the car (not on the header). C'mon people.

I was trying to put it in my h22 swapped prelude but it doesn't work out obviously. I could have taken it to a muffler shop and had a section made for it but i wanted to avoid the trip to the muffler shop and i didn't want to pay xx.xx for something that should have been right to begin with.

I'm trying to get a refund from the h-t member who sold it to me but he seems to think that he's right, even thugh what i bought was an obd1 header for the h22 that would fit my prelude. He says it came with his swap from hmotors.

I think it's a header for a h22 into a civic chassis. Maybe i'll check over in the hybrid forum.
