Vin # question

is there a vin number anywhere on the engine?

no, there is no vin because car and motor are manufactured seprately from each other

Only on OBD-II engines.

on my motor is is behind the block near the timing belt. but i have a 97 obd2

well see you learn something new every day, if your motor is obd2 then apparently the vin is on the engine

i was told mine was a 97 so we'll see. if your looking at the car, is it on the back of the block? is it stamped?
