Default Vibration during deceleration.

The car is a 1992 Honda Prelude Si ~100k miles since majority of the members here are from the US I will convert it.

I've noticed recently when i'm braking in higher speeds that I get a vibration from the front (guessing wheels) and it will stop once I hit certain speeds. For example I will be doing 90-110 KM/H (60-70) and if you hit the brakes you get a vibration that is noticable, but I get nothing when braking from 70-80 KM/H (40-50).

I'm guessing this wouldn't have something to do with the ABS light being on, i've noticed in most threads i've looked into that ABS light is always on in the dashboard.

The tires have been rotated and aligned about two weeks ago. I would doubt the recent rotation is causing this.

Any suggestions/tips to look for?

Edit: When I mean vibration I mean you can feel it in the steering wheel the rest of the car is fine.

It could be an inconsistent deposition of pad material upon the rotors, producing a feeling similar to that of warped rotors (stoptech reference). As to why this only occurs at higher speeds is a mystery; perhaps it occurs at all speeds, but is only very evident at higher speeds with greater braking loads.

My solution would be to try and re-bed the pads. If this does not produce satisfactory results, I would then replace the pads/rotors.

Alright thanks for the feed back .

It's too bad since my front pads are at 90% and my back are at 85%.

I'll have to check it out and see.

Edit: Any insight as to why my ABS light came on the other day, the fluid levels are all filled up, brakes are basically brand new etc. Anything to worry about or look into?

most likely your rotors are warped.. get rotors changed. if problem proceeds get a set of pads to go along with it.

Where the rotors replaced or turned when the pads were installed? If not, are the pads the same compound as the previous ones? If not the new pads may have difficulty bedding in due to the other pad material.

I would try re-bedding the pads. Then turning the rotors if there is enough remaining material and the bedding didn't take. Lastly replace the rotors. Since the pads are so new they should be ok.

I would check the helms, there are many reasons the ABS light will come on; you can also jump the ecu connector to 'read' ABS test code. This is likely a separate issue and could be a pressure switch, wheel speed sensor, or other abs/brake system issue. If you provide the code (dots/dashes) I can look up the code (so can anyone with a helms manual).
