Default Upgrading CAMS

So I saw an opportunity of getting the Brian Crower cams Stage 3 + forged valve springs.

I don't have a lot of money, but I think i will buy this. But is it safe to run BS S3 with oem H22a1 retainers?

Thanks.

no. you will need to get aftermarket retainers also. The retainers give you more clearance that is needed with larger cams.

if you dont have a lot of money, you dont need to dive in that deep.

other things you need to consider is tuning.

hardware can easily run you 400+ dollars plus the tuning expense which can range anywhere from 250-550. How about cam gears to effectively make use of these cams (they will need to be moved in order to make good power).
