type-s engines are very costly and not wort the 20 extra hp, at least IMO. You can probably get a motor and tranny and ecu and all that for around 1800 or so

 

I'm guessing you have an "s" model usdm prelude. That is not referred to as a "type-s".

But to answer your question, yes you can swap in an H22 (its spelled vtec,
not v-tech. thats a phone ) You should be able to get the swap done for under $3000.00

 

Yes it's possible... unless you are getting the motor for dirt cheap why not consider the Euro-R motor instead?

 

Yes it is possible, but for the money you spend on the type s engine you could make mroe power with a mildly built H22A

If you go this route like I did > forget the type-S setup and get the JDM Euro Accord-R H22a setup instead > same engine as type-S, better intake manifold, and the best tranny made for H22's (not to mention comes with a LSD as well, not ATTS )
