Default Trunk Lid

My lude got backed into yesterday. Everything is getting fixed but i was wondering what would be cheaper to do , just buy a cf lid or get a oem trunk lid and have it painted to match my car again.

I'd go with a CF trunk lid...If you decide to go with an OEM trunk lid, you should have everything shaved

you can find a lid on ebay for like 50-100 bux and color matching here for something that size is around 150-250 so if you WANT a cf trunk now is the time to get it. but if your tight on money the oem lid might be better

I would take this chance and get the CF trunk.

I have decided to go with a cf lid but i was wondering if there are any brands that sell lids with the center piece with it as carbon fiber. so i dont have to stick my old one in it and where would be a good place to order a lid?

nope...i bougth a VIS carbon fiber trunk and couldn't find the insert ANYWHERE i used the insert from my OEM trunk and painted it a flat black looks real good... if you're OEM trunk is completely destroyed and can't use the piece out of there just go to a junkyard or if worse comes to worse just get one from Honda or a parts dealer... i was in the same prediciment you were...got rear ended and it was actualy CHEAPER to just buy a CF trunk than getting a new trunk and having it painted... good luck man!

I just stumbled on this website and it looks like they make a carbon fiber license plate insert. I couldn't find a price or any other info, may not even be for a 4th gen (looks like it though), maybe you could email them and find out. I know a lot of 4th gen carbon trunk owners who would love one of these.
