Troubleshooting a Prelude problem
This is a 4th gen. H23 Problem. To start, the other day, my distributer started making a funny squeeking sound that was loud. Today on the interstate, it Bogged down to 3,000 Rpms and would accellerate past or it would misfire.
I pulled over and the car was misfireing real bad. Well I replaced the Distributer Cap, Distributer button and the Wires and It got worse. Basicly as is sits now, it will fire but it sounds like its on 1 Cylynder and Idles @ 100RPMs and bellow. Once I try to give it gas, It dies. Basicly it sounds like its a 350 w/a huge cam in it. Any troubleshooting of this problem would be appriciated. Thanks.

That's what is known by some as the "death screetch"
Most likely the bearing in your dizzy is toast.
Take the dist. off and see if you can spin the gear by hand.
You probabaly need a new dist.
good luck
