i just wanted to know what the top speed is for a 92 si prelude, 5 speed.The top speed without blowing the motor that is i know the speedometer goes up to 140, but i dought it. its stock with just a shortram AEM. Also what is the fastest youve gone in your 4th gen prelude? Thanks in advance and peace out.

 

I didn't have a 4th Gen., but I had a 5th Gen., and I took mine all the way to 150mph

 

i hit the rev limiter in 5th gear with my 92 Si, stock the speedometer read ~135 and with an intake i hit the rev limiter, needle was buried at 140.

 

134mph@6200rpms in my lude with intake and a few other little mods.

 

Isn't top speed illegal?

4th gen Si stock is gear limited to 127mph

your speeds on the older preludes are erally off, the tach and speedo are way out of calibration, on my old cluster we were radaring ech other on a barren road, i was clocking 120 on the speedo, it clock at 109, now with my newer EL guages its alot more accurate same thing and i was running at 121 with the speedo reading 120, BTW this can be adjusted, theres little adjustments to adjust that tach and speedo..peace...oh yeah my 4th gen vtec ive run up over 150..peace

 

my 93 Si 5 speed gets up to 127-128 at 6500 rpms.
